In 1899, as our name implies, we started out as a newspaper, based in Eshowe, covering the Zululand region of Natal.
The Zululand Times or "The Sausage Wrap" as we were then called,
catered for the traders, farmers and British Forces stationed in the
area. Since 1975, however, when the newspaper was sold to the Natal
Mercury, we have concentrated on commercial printing and specialised in
colour work.
From Eshowe, we have borne witness to the birth of the Port of
Richards Bay and the phenomenal industrial growth of the area. We are
ideally situated in Eshowe to meet the printing needs of the Richards
Bay/Empangeni metropole and the inland areas such as Ulundi, Isithebe
and Melmoth. In fact our sales area stretches from Swaziland in the
north to Durban in the south and from the coast inland as far as
Pietermaritzburg and Vryheid.
Today, more than 111 years later, we are proud of the fact that we
are the oldest company in Zululand and still leading the way in
printing in this region. We are a registered BEE company with a happy
and contented staff, many of whom are third generation employees with
an average length of service of over 13 years.
